The website miicharacters.com gives you step-by-step instructions on how to make Mii versions of famous people for your Nintendo Wii. And I thought that I was a genius for creating a Mii for Paul Newman and for our library director, Maxine Bleiweis! Shown above are Miis of Albert Einstein, Paris Hilton, and E.T.

Are you coming to the Harry Potter release party on Friday night? If so, you'll have a chance to play the new Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix game for the Nintendo Wii. By now you know that the pick for this year's WestportREADS book is The Soloist by Mark Salzman.
As I've mentioned in this blog before, I am totally obsessed with Greg Galloway's As Simple As Snow. I've tried to get everybody I know to read it. The library was PACKED on Wednesday night with students frantically studying for midterm exams. Good luck everybody and keep coming back for snacks and study space!
As you know, Midterms take place next week at Staples High School. In order to make your study time more enjoyable (if this is possible…), I have reserved the McManus Room and Seminar Room for you Monday-Thursday evenings next week. There will be areas for quiet study as well as group study. The library will provide snacks and soda and I will be around with my trusty laptop, should you need help. Spread the word and bring your friends.
I will be hosting a night of Guitar Hero in the McManus Room tomorrow night, Wednesday, January 3rd at 7PM. Bring your friends and your urge to rock. I received a second controller as a gift, so now we can play on multiplayer mode!! Snacks and good times will be provided. If you have any questions, you can e-mail me. Hope to see you there!
