Since I know more than a few of you out there fit this description, I thought I'd do the public service of posting this on my blog. I just received this email from MTV:
This summer, you can help beat the heat by attending gaming events at the Library. Stop by on the last day of school this Friday from 3-5 to play Wii games with your friends. If you're looking for more of a challenge, you can attend the Westport Library's first ever Gaming Tournament on Friday, August 8th!
I'm a little new to Facebook, but everybody I know has been obsessed with Scrabulous lately. Scrabulous is an online game you can play with your Facebook friends that is similar to Scrabble.
I hope that everybody had good holidays! I was home for two weeks and got to spend a lot of time with my family and friends, mostly playing board games. Just when I was starting to feel like I'm a huge dork, I found this on Kanye West's blog: he loves playing Connect Four! Apparently Beyonce' is notorious in the hip-hop community for being an excellent Connect Four player- she beat Kanye 9 times in a row!
The website miicharacters.com gives you step-by-step instructions on how to make Mii versions of famous people for your Nintendo Wii. And I thought that I was a genius for creating a Mii for Paul Newman and for our library director, Maxine Bleiweis! Shown above are Miis of Albert Einstein, Paris Hilton, and E.T.
Are you coming to the Harry Potter release party on Friday night? If so, you'll have a chance to play the new Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix game for the Nintendo Wii. You will learn how to cast spells and navigate through Hogwart's. These skills will come in handy when we play the game at future gaming events. Hope to see you there!
