Girls and Math
I know that summer vacation isn't over yet, but I wanted to blog about math. Math and I have never exactly gotten along... In fact, it will often take my friends and me longer to figure out the check at a restaurant than it took us to eat! The actress (from The Wonder Years) and mathematician Danica McKeller has written a couple books in the hopes of getting girls more comfortable with math.
Fun with SATs
Yes, I just used the words "fun" and "SATs" in the title to this post. Given that the test is coming up at the beginning of May, I'm sure many of your are studying right now. Are you getting bored with standard vocabulary books? If so, you might want to check out some new graphic novels we've added to the library's collection. Kaplan and Tokyo Pop teamed up to create a series of graphic novels which contain SAT vocab words. Each story contains over 300 vocabulary words with definitions, pronunciations, and an index.Feed Subscription
