Get a Library Card?   Register in-person or on-line. Library cards may be obtained at the Circulation Desk in the Library. If you are a resident of Westport, you will be asked to provide proof of residency (driver's license, lease, etc.). Non-residents may register by bringing in a current library card from your hometown library. If you have any questions, send an e-mail or call 227-8411.
Find out what I have checked out?   1. Go to the library homepage www.westportlibrary.org
2. Along the top menu click on the "catalog" link.
3. This will open the library WebPAC
4. Click on "Library Catalog"
5. Click on "Patron Information"
6. At the prompt, type in your 14 digit barcode number as one continuous number (no spaces). Then type in the last four digits of your telephone number.
7. Click on "Submit".
8. Click on "Items Out". A list of items checked out on your library card will appear.If you have any questions or encounter problems while reviewing your records on-line, send an e-mail requesting assistance or call (203) 227-8411.

Reserve an item?   1. Go to the library homepage www.westportlibrary.org
2. Along the top menu click on the "catalog" link.
3. This will open the library WebPAC
4. Click on "Library Catalog"
5. Choose an index to search - either Words in Title, Words in Subject, Author, etc.
6. Enter a word or phrase, title, author's name - whichever you have chosen above.
7. The "Search" button becomes active - click on it.
8. When the list is displayed, click on the line containing the title you wish to place the hold/reserve on.
9. Type in your 14 digit barcode number as one continuous number (no spaces).
10. Click on "Submit Barcode".
11. Review your information as displayed - if it is correct click on "Continue."
12. You will be contacted by phone unless you click on the drop down arrow and select mail.
13. Click on "Finish"
14. You will see a message advising you that you will be contacted when the item becomes available. The message also requests that if any of your personal information was incorrect that you notify the staff at the circulation desk as soon as possible.

Arrange to use a computer at the Library?   To reserve computer time, stop at the Reservation station by the Reference desk. Reservations are accepted in-person and for the same day only. For more information, contact the Reference Desk.

Borrow materials from other libraries?   Click here to enter the ReQuest Statewide Library catalog. You may place your own Interlibrary Loan request or contact the Reference Desk for assistance .
Donate used books to the Library?   Small deliveries of used books in good condition may be deposited in the Friends of the Library bin across from the Circulation Desk. To make a larger donation, contact George Wagner.
Get a cup of coffee at the Library?   The "As You Like It" Cafe, located in the lobby of the Library, is open Monday-Friday 9-5, Saturday 9-3, Sunday 1-4:30.
