Facebook is a social networking website made up of many networks, including individual schools, organizations, companies, and regions. To join Facebook, people can authenticate into a school or work network, or they can join a regional network. They can then create profiles to connect with friends, share interests, join groups, send messages, writes notes and post photos. If you are a registered user of Facebook, you can also "share" news stories on your profile page, as well as recommended items, events, blog posts, podcasts, and videos.
Twitter is a website which offers a social networking and microblogging service, enabling its users to send and read other users' messages called tweets. Tweets are text-based posts of up to 140 characters displayed on the user's profile page. All users can send and receive tweets via the Twitter website, compatible external applications (such as for smartphones), or by Short Message Service (SMS) available in certain countries. Look for updates on new events and other Library news.
