Westport Mini Maker Faire
Are you the curious, hands-on type? Do you like to tinker in your basement or garage? Do you enjoy knitting, lanyard making, soap sculpture or quilting? Do you enjoy watching people create things?
If so, be sure to stop at the Library or the tent on Jesup Green for the debut of Westport Mini Maker Faire on Saturday, April 28 from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. This family-friendly showcase of invention, creativity and resourcefulness is where people demonstrate their products, show their wares or speak about their exhibits.
The first Maker Faire took place in 2006 in San Mateo, CA and has spread across the United States and the world.
Here is a list of songs that one may hum as they build, compose and work on their ideas:
Faithfull, Marianne. Working Class Hero
Peter, Paul and Mary. If I Had a Hammer
Taylor, James. Millwork
Workman, Nimrod. Coal Black Mining Blues
Zanes, Dan. Working on a Building
