Do you have a favorite classic book? Moby Dick? Scarlet Letter? Huckleberry Finn? Ulysses? Or maybe it's an author, like Jane Austen or Shakespeare.
Maybe you have re-read it, seen the film, looked at graphic novel versions, talked about it until your friends and family have had enough. Or maybe it's a faint fond memory. Look for your favorite in the Library catalog or browse online.
You are invited to tell us about your favorite classic book. Contemporary classics like To Kill a Mockingbird or Animal Farm are good, too.
What's your favorite? Why?

It was only after I read The Scarlet Letter as an adult that I appreciated the strength of character of Hester Prynne. If you have not read it since high school, pick it up again.

Any Laurie Anderson fans out there? She was inspired to compose "Song of Moby Dick" after re-reading. The first read(high school)seemed boring and too fantastic, but the second time around was inspiring. Life, fear & obsession- good topics for the creative mind.

Ulysses changed my life. I had an epiphany after I read it and became interested in all things Joyce. Try it!
