Called by one reviewer the Erin Brockovich of the Exxon Valdez oil spill, Riki Ott, Ph.D. meticulously recounts the events and aftermath of the catastrophic 1989 oil spill in Alaska’s Prince William Sound in her new book, Not One Drop: Betrayal and Courage in the Wake of the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill. Actor James Naughton will introduce Ott who will also show clips from her documentary on the spill. A former commercial salmon fisherman with a PhD in marine toxicology and a specialist in oil pollution, Ott experienced the disaster firsthand as a resident of Cordova, Alaska.

Je suis technicien de la faune et je travaille au québec depuis 5 ans en foresterie comme contremaitre et je suis facher regulierement des probleme environementaux provoquer par les grande compagnie et ce malgrer les réglementation déjas existente. Bref je me suis apercus que la faune devras toujours faire des consession a la foresterie mais que le contraire ne se fera jamais. J'ai un oncle qui travail comme député au gouvernement et qui a réussis a établir une lois donnant automatiquement une ammende minimale de 500 000 dollars pour le moindre déversement au québec se qui est peut mais un bon début car pour moi l'argent ne résoudra jamais les problème environementaux engendrer par ces types de contamination.
