We look forward to seeing this documentary on Satchel Paige - honored as the first Negro League player voted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame. Thanks and Congratulations to Mr. Craig Davidson for making this film -preserving history, honoring excellence, and sharing it with all. The historical preservation of the legend Satchel Paige defines the era of segregation and integration and exemplifies the talent and spirit of a truly great individual.
Using one of Satchel's quotes - "Not to be cheered by praise, not to be grieved by blame, but to know thoroughly one's own virtue or powers are the characteristics of an excellent man"
With peanuts and crackerjacks the film certainly is the "PRIZE"

I was lucky enough to see this film at it's Premiere at the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown this fall. I'd always known a little about Satchel but was able to learn many more details and life lessons. If you love baseball, or are a fan of history, you must see this film! Great job by the filmmaker!
