On Monday, July 13, Westport native, New Yorker staff writer, and debut author David Grann discussed his book The Lost City of Z: A Tale of Deadly Obsession in the Amazon, soon to be a major motion picture starring Brad Pitt. Grann brings to life the remarkable story of British explorer Percy Fawcett and his fateful 1925 quest for the Lost City of Z, the famed El Dorado, in the impenetrable jungle canopy of the Amazon.
