Opening reception for the exhibit "A Retrospective on the work of George Hand Wright (1872-1951): Dean of Westport Artists." A master of many media, George H. Wright was gifted in the use of watercolor, pastels, and etching, which became in his later years his most favored medium of expression. He left a treasure trove of art for generations to come and provided a visual history of what was, during his lifetime, the rural, small town of Westport. The exhibit will be on display for the months of October and November.
Light refreshments served.
Enter through the upper level Library entrance.
