Robbins, John.  Healthy at 100: the Scientifically Proven Secrets of the World’s Healthiest and Longest Lived Peoples.  2006. Long lives are attributed to food - organic and small portions; and lifestyle - lots of heart-stimulating exercise.

Shanks, Pete.  Human Genetic Engineering: a Guide for Activists, Skeptics, and the Very Perplexed. 2005. A highly readable and entertaining guide. It explains in accessible language for a popular audience the essential questions that will arise in the future debates: What is human GE? Will it work? What perspectives should we remember? Who is doing what, and why?

Weil, Andrew.  Healthy Aging: a Lifelong Guide to Your Physical and Spiritual Well-Being.  2005. Keeping mind and body in good working order is explored through biogerontology (the biology of aging) as well as the secrets of healthy longevity - diet, activity and attitude.
