The Space Science Laboratory at UC Berkeley offers a connection
to SEGway (Science Education Gateway), hands-on science activities

Forum. Families can find information on space, the solar system,
and related subjects such as mathematics and technology.
Connecticut
Science Fair
Through science fair participation, students are encouraged
to pursue independent work using proper research methods. It is
open to students in grades 7 through 12 and held at Quinnipiac University.

Potter's Science Gems
Excellent annotated directory of more than 14,000 science resources
sorted by category, sub-category, and grade-level - kindergarten
through college. Also includes an annotated collection of links
to lesson plans and great science discoveries of the 90's.
Genetic
Science Learning Center
The Core section of this site covers the background and role of
genetics in disease, DNA and proteins, as a tool in forensics, and
in conservation. Also has science activites and projects. Excellent
resource from the University of Utah.
Government
Science-Washington
Science.gov is a gateway to authoritative selected science information
provided by U.S. Government agencies, including research and development
results. Fourteen scientific and technical information organizations
from 10 major science agencies have collaborated to create science.gov.
MadSci
Network
This Web site unites "hundreds of scientists in a forum where
people can ask questions and learn more about the world around them."
Questions submitted must be science-related and are usually answered
within seven days. Questions and answers are archived and can be
searched by subject, keyword, and grade level.
The
National Academies
Congress mandated that the Academy will, upon request by government
departments, "investigate, examine, experiment, and report
upon any subject of science or art." Subsections at this site
include online books, periodicals, news, and project descriptions
in the social sciences, education, earth and life sciences, engineering,
physical science, transportation, medicine, policy, and global studies.

Science Foundation (NSF)
The National Science Foundation Act of 1950 established the NSF
"to promote the progress of science; to advance the national
health, prosperity, and welfare; to secure the national defense;
and for other purposes." A comprehensive Site Map provides
