Distances Between Cities and Countries
This service uses data from the US Census and a supplementary list of cities around the world to find the latitude and longitude of two places, and then calculates the distances between them (as the crow flies).

Expedia
Basic directions are provided as well as maps for places in Europe. Not as intense as other sites but does the job.

Freetrip
FreeTrip is the ultimate directions Web site for the picky traveler. It includes tunnels or bridges, scenic routes, information on bed and breakfasts, hotels within certain prices ranges, travel plazas and points of interest and attractions.

Mapping the National Parks
Here are 200 user-friendly maps from the Library of Congress that document the history, culture and geological formations of all the country's national parks.

MapQuest
The primary function of this site is to provide easy-to-use directions from one place to another in North America, with the user providing as much information as possible. A click of the mouse supplies: total distance, total estimated time, map of area and step-by-step directions.

Maps On Us
This driving utility offers two avenues of entry. Users can type in any address and a map of the surrounding area will appear with the address highlighted. Clicking on "what's nearby" will launch a directory of attractions that reside near the address.

Users can obtain a virtual map of the United States and other countries directly from the front page. Unique to this site is "Plan a Road Trip", just create a name for your trip like (Barbara's Road Trip), and off you go, with easy instructions.

A guide to time zones and calendars including count down to any date, advanced meeting planner, calculate durations between two dates, information about time.

Time.gov
The official U.S. government site for current time in all U.S. time zones.

World Time Zones
Time zone maps, daylight savings time and a sun clock. Also view country or territory and time abbreviaitons.
