Download and listen to popular and classic audiobooks on computers and portable devices that support Windows Media Player 9.0 or higher. (Sorry, these audiobooks will not work on iPods or Macintosh computers.) The collection also includes lessons in learning 39 different languages.

All digital audiobook titles can be found in our library catalog. You can also browse for titles on the NetLibrary site.

Step 1: Print a copy of these instructions.
Step 2:

Click on this icon to get started.

  • You will be prompted to type your library card barcode number.
  • You will be directed to the NetLibrary site to register, select and download your audiobook.
Step 3:

Create your NetLibrary Account

First time users must set up a NetLibrary account by clicking on the Create a Free Account link. (The link is very small). If you have a NetLibrary account, enter your user name and password in the Log In box.
Step 4: Find and download an audiobook
  • Enter the author, title or keyword in the Basic Search field.
  • Click on Download this Audiobook.
  • Choose either CD quality (for high-speed connections and will transfer to an MP3 player) or Radio quality (for dial-up connections and you can listen to your audiobook on your PC or laptop).
Step 5: Specify how you want to download the file
  • Save the file on your desktop.
  • This file is active for 21 days and may be renewed.
  • Download the audio book file to your computer and then open the file for it to work correctly.
  • When you open the file for the first time, you will be prompted to enter your NetLibrary user name and password.
  • You can now transfer your audiobook to a portable device.
