BeatlesFebruary 9, 1964 was a day when history was made in this country.  Like many other Americans, I was sitting in my living room, along with the rest of my family, watching TV.  What was the event we were watching?   Four young British musicians, John, Paul, George and Ringo, otherwise known as The Beatles, in their first live American performance on The Ed Sullivan Show. 73 million Americans - over 40% of every man, woman and child in America, watched this event on that evening.read more

Dick Clark

Nick Ashford

My son always loved driving to his Westport piano teacher since we would  pass the huge Ashford/Simpson house on Cross Highway.  We would always scan the property hoping to catch a glimpse of him.  We were fans of the songs that he and his wife, Valerie Simpson, wrote and performed.read more
