100th Birthday
![]() |
THE CELEBRATION CONTINUES! Nearly 2200 people attended the Library’s 100th Birthday Party on April 6. There are programs all year long to continue the celebration. Library champion Vartan Gregorian, President of the Carnegie Corporation, spoke at the Malloy Lecture in the Arts in April, and the Altered Book Project is well underway with an auction scheduled for October 3rd. Irving Wladawsky-Berger will speak about the future of libraries in September, and author Logan Ward will speak in December about his book, See You in One-Hundred Years. Share your memories of the Library and its place in your family’s life, and read the memories others have written. Listen to interviews with three Westport families, whose lives have been intertwined with the Library. Read the tributes of local authors, who have used the Library and its resources in crafting their works. And include your name – or the name of a loved one – in a library book in celebration of the Library’s first 100 years. |
