With all of my events in the last week, I've barely had time to breathe, let alone blog! Here are photo highlight's from the Library Rock Show on Friday, March 23rd and the visit from author Greg Galloway on Monday, March 26th. Thank you to Eric Goldschmidt for taking photos at Toquet Hall!

This is by far the CUTEST thing I've seen in a long time. These otters are BFF. Make sure to watch it all the way to the end- it gets even cuter!

Just a reminder to be nice to your mom. When I was four, Mr. T was my favorite person in the world. I even ate Mr. T cereal!

If you find this as amusing as I do, on Wednesday, April 18th I'll be hosting an 80's Night! Come to the library to eat pizza, listen to 80's music, and watch the film Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Prizes awarded for best 80's outfit!

Late afternoon on Friday, this lady tried to come into the library. Maybe she wanted a library card?

WestportREADS

soloist.gifBy now you know that the pick for this year's WestportREADS book is The Soloist by Mark Salzman. The book is centered around a formal child cello prodigy coming to terms with his adult life while participating in a jury in a murder trail involving a Buddhist monk. There are many events at the library centered around the book, including a Buddhism workshop this Monday. You can see the full event list here.

We will be having a Teen discussion of the book the evening of Monday, March 19th at 6:30 in the McManus Room. Bring your friends and bring your appetite because as always, we'll be having pizza. E-mail me with any questions. The book is short and is a quick read (I read it all in about two Metro North trips), so don't worry if you haven't started yet!
