Bye-Bye Bob Barker

bob_barker2.jpg
Maybe it's just me, but I've had a mild obsession with The Price is Right since I was a child. It was a tradition that when we were home during the summer, my brother and I watched it every single morning.

Did you know that Bob Barker is retiring? Barker, who has been hosting the show for 35 years, is finally leaving television at the age of 83. Today, June 15th, CBS is broadcasting his last episode at 11AM and replaying it at 8PM.

Do you know what this means? I'll never have a chance to have Bob coach me while I spin the big wheel, or while I play Plinko, or when I'm bidding in the Showcase Showdown. I know that eventually they will find a new host, but it won't be the same. If your heart is breaking just like mine, you might want to consider placing a bid on an authentic Price is Right microphone on Ebay. The bidding is almost at $20,000. Good luck! And remember, help control the pet population: have your pets spayed or neutered.

I think that it is about time he retired. He's way too old to appeal to the younger crowd!
