As the school year starts to wind down, are you realizing that you have some volunteer hours you need to fulfill? Or, are you just looking for a way to make the world better? We have recently added Empowered Girls : a Girl's Guide to Positive Activism, Volunteering, and Philanthropy to the Library's collection.
The book contains personal stories from teens who have had success with volunteering and leadership and also contains step-by-step guides to help you get involved in the community.
Are you interested in reading about how charity benefits the world (or are you interested in the book mentioned about and you're not a girl)? Bill Clinton's book Giving: How Each of Us Can Change the World is also a good resource.
