Review: This book is about a young girl named Katya whose
mother is a lady-in-waiting to the Empress of Russia. During World
War I, Katya's life changes forever as she is forced to live a less
luxurious life than accustomed to. By the time the Russian Revolution
has changed everything permanently, she has become a mature young
woman, understanding more of the world. A wonderful historical novel.

Review: Sixteen-year-old Jane has left her comfortable home
and life in Philadelphia of 1852. She is traveling to the wilderness
of the Northwest to marry William Baldt, her childhood idol and
the man she believes is her one true love. But when she arrives
after a long sea voyage, William is not there to greet her. Over
the months she is forced to work for her survival on the frontier,
her feelings, about life, William, and being a proper lady, begin
to change.

Review: This is the fourth book in a series. Morgan
was adopted as a baby after her parents were killed for their involvement
in witchcraft. Now Morgan is discovering her own powers. But with
power comes painful decisions about how to use it, and Morgan will
have to pay a price she never imagined. I recommend this series
to teens who like supernatural stories.

Review: This is a book from the Star Wars: New Jedi Order
series, set 25 years after Return of the Jedi. Han and Leia are
married and have three teenage Jedi children. Luke and his wife
are awaiting the birth of their son. The characters must face a
deadly alien menace from beyond the galaxy. I recommend all the
New Jedi order books to Star Wars fans. Rebirth is the newest
and is excellent.
Title: The Edge on the Sword

Review: This book was based on the true story of Aethelflaed, the daughter of a king in 9th century England. In a time when women's options were limited, Flaed (as she was called by her family) learned combat skills and grew up to become a skilled and admired leader. I recommend this book to readers who like historical novels or books featuring strong female characters.

Review: This book is about a girl named Rosie. She lives
with her family on a farm in Illinois in 1893. Her aunt in Chicago
invites Rosie and her family to attend the World's Fair. Rosie,
her brother and sister, and her grandfather go, and have many adventures

Title: Fight Club
Author: Palaniuk, Chuck
Date Published: 1996
Reading Category: Fiction
Review: The best book of modern times. This dark vision
of man's emptiness and, in a twisted, perverse way, redemption hosts
some of the most enticing and emotionally charged writing ever.
I will never forget this book for the lessons it taught, lessons
which, in some dark corner make sense. READ IT NOW, it will do nice
things to your head.
Title: Forever
Author: Judy Blume
Date Published: 1975
Reading Category: Fiction

Review: Once again, Judy Blume delivers a teenagers
dream beach read. The plot is a simple love story. If you're wondering
what puppy love is all about this book is for you. Katherine is
a graduating high school senior who's parents don't approve of how
much time she has invested in her new guy, Michal. For the first
time, Katherine is experiencing love and having a wonderful time
of it. Michal, on the other hand, is in love with everything about
Katherine. The conflict comes once Katherine realizes that she can
find love in other people than Michal.

Review: This is the first book in the "Fingerprints"
series. 16-year-old Rae has a terrible secret: Her mother died in
an insane asylum years ago. Now Rae's head is suddenly full of thoughts
that are not her own. First she thinks she is going crazy. Then
she learns she may have acquired a supernatural power. This is a
really great new supernatural teen series. I highly recommend it!
Book 2 is Secrets and book 3 is Trust Me and they
are also great.
